27.21.010 Purpose

The purpose of this Article is to allow up to two detached or attached primary housing units on one parcel, establish objective standards, and regulate subdivision of parcels in single-family zoned areas in accordance with state law. This Chapter shall be implemented and interpreted in conjunction with California Government Code Sections 65852.21 and 66411.7, as amended, and applicable objective standards contained within Titles 26 and 27 of the San Mateo Municipal Code.
